Perhaps a wildly unpopular opinion, but this is my favorite of the series so far. I just think SJM’s storytelling and character writing shine with fewer POVs and a slower (i.e. not breakneck) plot.
I also still don’t love Chaol. But honestly I’m really here for a redemption story where he’s still a little shitty at the end.
