Initially the plot of this story was intriguing, but the pseudo-feminist points of men “never giving her a choice” while thinly sprinkling language throughout s*x scenes that evoke images of SA deeply troubles me. Such as him “prying her legs open” and her v*gina being described as a“battered p****” after sex are a few of numerous examples in these disturbing scenes. Also the heteronormativity of this book is such a yawn to a bisexual, like I very much enjoy reading heterosexual books, but please write some diversity in your characters. ALSO the infantilization of the main protagonist was vile, including her being called “little one” and not *really* being allowed to make choices for herself unless she was given her male partner’s permission. Overall, this was extremely disappointing for a book written by a woman

Very good writing and this story made my heart sing. It’s so refreshing to read a story where the male love interest isn’t a toxic *yet charming* asshole.
