“victory is sweet” 🏁

I’ve been meaning to read an F1-themed romance book for a while — obviously though I will not judge this in terms of accuracy. There were certain scenes which were so sweet to read, swoon-worthy at times too. The banter oftentimes worked, others didn’t for me. I just couldn’t shake that the pacing felt slight off 😬

I liked their little park scene; I think that’s when the connection between Riggs and Cami felt real for me 🤍

I’m sad to say I didn’t vibe with this one as much as I wanted — I read it extremely fast but, after a certain point, it was just to get through it sadly 😩.

I love paranormal stories and I’m always down to read a good why-choose but this one I found was lacking feeling. The characters seemed like they would be likeable but fell flat and the pacing seemed uneven.

The concept itself was intriguing and the FMC sounded like a great character to follow, which is why I wanted to read this in the first place. Also some scenes did stand out. Although, for a why-choose, mainly 2-3 of MMCs seemed of importance instead of all of them which was confusing :/
Unsure if I want to continue with this series 😭

this is getting slightly ridiculous now, friends ngl 😬

apart from 2-3 twists in here, nothing much was happening. We were moving from place to place and lots of things were happening at once 🙃. It did feel like all the characters were reduced to the same two personalities over and over again.
I did like the emphasis on how important therapy is and how helpful it can be when someone is dealing with traumatising situations.

I’ll admit the ending with — yet another — cliffhanger was good but come on, did this really need to be 4 books??
I’ll read the final one because I have no self-control of course but I still think book 1 was is best one out of all of them so far 😩

I’m 100% binging this series… I mean, two books in a day??? back-to-back? absolutely 🥳

now the plot in this one went for a small walk at some point, everything was happening at the same time and much of it came out of nowhere but omg the drama? Soap opera level. Also the cliffhanger?? why do you have to do this to me 😭

I’m way too invested in this now to stop, which means I’m going straight to book three 🙃 didn’t like this as much as the first book but the vibes are still here

first read of 2025 and this was for the vibes 💫

honestly, this must be laced with something because I binge-read it and didn’t even notice. I’ve always read stories containing a lot of drama extremely fast — add the rockstar and mafia vibes on top??? yeah, this was my personal little treat 🤭.
which is why I’m unashamedly giving it a high rating, no room for shame when the vibes are fab 🥂.

This ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and damn my girl Billie really needs a break, she was going THROUGH it 😩
The why-choose energy too.. *chef’s kiss* 🩷

a cute, little holiday novella 🎄❄️

Christmas time might be over but I’ll still read my festive books 🤭 this is a hallmark-y type of novella — quite cheesy and unrealistic at times but the jolly vibes are there, so it was a good time!
Not life-changing or anything but all a girl wants sometimes is some fun :’) 🩷

my annual rewatch of every season of criminal minds has prepared me for this 🤭

Was this perfect? probably not. Did I have a great time binging this in a couple of hours? hell yeah 🫣
I’m SO excited for the second book — I wouldn’t say this ends on a cliffhanger, it’s more of a “to be continued” with a lot of suspense.
Vibes vibes vibes 🥳🤍

Rich people drama will always be so entertaining. 🫣
I read this book SO fast and was highly amused — albeit also frustrated at times; you win some, you lose some I guess??

One of the things which worked for this story is that there is a lot of communication… and I do mean A LOT.🫣 I absolutely despise the miscommunication trope because, most of the time, it’s done in such an aggravating way and it doesn’t add anything to the story. Here however, Ares and Raven communicated a lot and tried, to the best of their abilities, to find the right solutions.

The drama was still there though — sometimes it got sliiightly repetitive. 🙃 I’m sure we could all predict the last 20-30%. Not a bad thing for everyone, just got a bit too much for me!

Raven’s sister Hannah and their mum were the most narcissistic and annoying characters EVER. Props to Raven, she’s a better person than me lmao
In fact she’s a better person than all of them here 🥲 some of the other side characters - Ares’ family etc - were lovely and I’m excited for their respective books!

Still thoroughly entertained 🥳💫

“I’ll protect who you protect. I’ll love who you love. I’ll hate who you hate.”

anyway that’s done! this got so over-the-top for no reason — now, don’t get me wrong, I was in it for the excessive drama but it got a bit ridiculous. 🙃
also, you’re telling me we “wrapped up” the first couple of the series in 3 books but some plot points weren’t even resolved??? and this will drag further with more books? I was excited for Zane’s books but like… not the same plot again 🥲
