i enjoyed it but at the same time I didn't. Idk I didn't feel any connection with the characters. the story was cute the spice was amazing but I didn't crave to finish this book tbh.

Evie was kind of annoying at some points let's mbe honest here, and the villain needs to be more villain-y... what is the point of his magic if he barely uses it. I want him to slaughter a whole village with it.

don't give up if it's not your cup of tea at the start, it doesn't pick up until 30%-40% which i know it's a lot but at the end it's worth it.
