I felt so many emotions reading this - from disgust, sadness, anger to full on happiness. The multiple POVs can be a bit challenging in the beginning but they are needed for this kind of setting. Generally very tense, while it could get a bit long in some parts where the characters are just miserable and I was hoping for it to be over - but then something happened and we had movement in the complex story again. I guess it was kind of the point though? Everyone being miserable, still hard to read.

One part of the reveal was a bit... well but apart from that it was really great.

I buddy-read this with a friend where we met up after each chapter to discuss it. Just got worse the further it got imho. To be fair - I knew major plot points of this as they were spoiled for me so I can't speak on the tension curve. I hate Nick. I hate Daisy. I feel like that's intended? The writing style really isn't for me and got "bigger" and more extravagant the further we got into the book. Felt a bit exhausting to read. Still touched on interesting topics and I wanted to finish the story, so that's why it get's 2/5.
Definitely one of my least favourite classics.
