I chose this book because a review, a quote on the book claimed Bridgerton meets Fleabag, not either of those. It’s the extreme version of Mean Girls meets maybe the author watched the Gwyneth Paltrow version of Emma.

I loved this book. Talk about a book you need when you have finished "Heartstopper," and wish there was a Medieval version. This was a such a sweet book, and the character development between Gwen and Art was perfection. Please let there be a sequel.

There are times where we say, "Everyone should read this book," when truly we mean "Anyone who like this specific story type, or genre should read this book." However, this is truly the case where "Everyone should read this book!" A graphic novel depicting youth climate activists that children and adults can look up to, and learn from, and applying their actions to our lives.

Educators, Indie Booksellers, and librarians, this book will at some point be banned because it's teaching people to actually think, and care about this planet, so please, please get this book on your shelves now!

If you like Lifetime or Hallmark movies then read this book. Keep in mind it needs a lot of editing.  There was quite bit of different plots that didn’t feel fully fledged out, or wrapped up way too quickly. As well certain plot points mentioned that went nowhere. Highly disappointed with this book as I was rather looking forward to reading it with loving Practical Magic and Gilmore Girls.

If you’re seeking a book to just wander into, drink some wine, and get baking ideas then this is the book.

I’d like to preface I read an ARC version of this book, so things may be edited, or fixed in the final copy. The story is interesting, especially for fans of the Mummy, and YA romances. I did truly want to like this book, and enjoyed many of the story elements.

However, if you’re a critical reader, I don’t recommend this book as there are many errors (like I said they may be fixed in the final release). Such as the main character receiving an empty cup from her uncle, then taking a much needed long sip. A few paragraphs later the character is taught about a magic scarf that can ring out boiling hot water, so her cup is refilled after she finished her “original drink.”

‘Tio Ricardo handed me an empty mug. “You’ll need something warm to drink.”

With a murmured thanks, I took a long sip.’

One of my biggest pet peeves in a book is when the thoughts and emotions of a character on a certain subject are constantly repeated. The reader is not dumb, we remember when a character is feeling a particular way. “Smirk,” and a person being familiar, or a person’s voice being familiar is over utilized in the book. Time is kind of strange in this book too, it will be noon, and the next moment the character is walking under moonlight. I’ll admit I’m not an expert on when the sun sets in Egypt, but doing a quick search on Google it doesn’t seem like one in the afternoon.
