This book was hard to get through. It was way too repetitive, and over explained emotions and thoughts, not giving the reader a chance to think things through themselves. And a few mistakes too. The chapter structure was real weird too.

It was cute at first, but then there was so much tell instead of show. The cliche of the guy who is too strong for emotions, and the girl who doesn’t understand when he does love her. Plus, the problem with first person of over explaining of emotions, or reminding us the traumas they’ve been through every 20 pages.
A few baffling moments too. The fact that Emma had to explain so much medical stuff to her sister who supposedly had gotten into a medical internship. Also, I know LA is known for its traffic, but at 4am it doesn’t take an hour and 15 minutes to get to LAX from Hollywood. There’s hardly traffic at that hour, it’s the best time to go.
The audacity for Emma to be so mad at her sister for saying it’s her fault their mom died, right after Emma was blaming Sylvie for their dad’s accident was over dramatic. To then have Sylvie begging for forgiveness later, and Emma apologizing for nothing was terrible.
I don’t recommend this book.

A crazy-drama filled ride. Definitely feels like it was written to become a tv show.
