“Do not let your empathy stop at the boarders of your own community.” That authors note❤️🔥
This was a challenging read showcasing Chinese American hate and the hate on all Asian Americans specifically. There are dashes of horror, but nothing I would consider extreme.
I really don’t have any complaints on this book. The atmosphere built, the found family, the mystery behind who was killing all of these women kept me engaged.
What a phenomenal novel!
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

I found this book to be entertaining! There was sooo much going on so while I never found myself bored, I did find the flow of the book to be a little choppy.
All of the characters are flawed in their own ways and I love when an author doesn't make a character out to be perfect, so I appreciated that. I found the whole plot with Christian to not be that enjoyable. It just felt super rushed and I didn't really see the connection.
Overall, this book was fun, messy, and I liked the representation!
