A pride month read for me. I’m just in the mood for more cowboy love stories. I think I’ll try a sapphic one next. This wasn’t bad, but I found the worker/boss taboo a little repetitive.

What a gut wrenching book. It is violent without being gratuitous. It’s an excellent example of how we aren’t that far away from slavery, and how our practices are not that different.

A feel like this is a very classic story of obsession and a guy who “just can’t help himself”. He’s a little freak, misogynist, and a kleptomaniac. But I kind of get it. I think it really made me question if I could get away with it would I?

It gave me a lot of good financial tips as a semi-lost 23 year old. I also come from a poor family and have no clue really what even “comfortable” looks like. It’s nice to know that it’s possible to take control over it. She also gives me hope for what life looks like as an alternative person past my 20’s. For a whole group of people who it wasn’t a “phase” for.

Not quite a 5 star book, but still incredibly good. I’m really grateful for the turn we are seeing on the True Crime genre. This book shows the main character as an ABSOLUTE loser, dork, cringe, pathetic asshole. And he is. It really shows how people mythologize serial killers and the pain that cause the people they left behind.
