Needed a good thriller and this did not disappoint! If you’re a fan of unreliable characters, this one is for you. So many varying accounts of events leaves you wondering who is telling the truth, if anyone.
I’ve heard such good things about Lisa Jewell but this is the first book of hers I’ve read. I’ll definitely be picking up more in the future!

Loved, loved, loved this book!! Nothing felt overly impossible, all of the characters were well fleshed out and I loved watching all of the relationships grow. Also, the spicy scenes.. chef’s kiss (pun intended)

I enjoyed this book. I did see the twist coming from a mile away, but it was at least somewhat entertaining leading up to it. Can’t say I particularly loved, or even liked, any of the characters, which usually I need in a book. Overall a good book and a good way to start off October.

3 star read from me. Granted, at 24 years old, I’m not the intended audience, but I never read it when I was younger.

Really liked this book! Definitely gave me Big Little Lies vibes (the show, at least)

A good book, definitely not one for you if you need realistic plots…
I’m always a sucker for a mother daughter story, and almost wish it was even more prevalent. I did find the time jumping to be very sudden at first, there was a little lead up to it but all of a sudden Katy’s mother at 30 is there. But granted, I’m not sure how else you would introduce that twist.
Overall, a sweet book, definitely made me tear up a few times.

A beautiful way to wrap up this duology. Across both books there were many scenes that I laughed out loud at as Mosscap learns more about humans.

Loved watching Shane and Eva’s relationship ebb and flow. Felt very natural and realistic.

Super sweet romance. Loved that she was the bodyguard instead of him. I fell in love with Jack’s family, and found the romance to be really realistic. The classic “third act romance book conflict” also wasn’t from the usual miscommunication trope, which I appreciated.
