As a romance novel, it was very good. I felt like it managed to steer clear of some tropes that it could have indulged in. The characters were loveable and I kept wanting to come back to the book. However, sometimes the suspension of disbelief broke and I was left wondering if the issues the characters faced made any sense. I also thought Poppy's profession and lifestyle were way too convenient. And I would love to have seen more of the other characters besides Poppy and Alex.
It was, over all, a heart-warming book which I deeply enjoyed but probably won't reread.

This book was like a cup of tea, a hug and a blanket. It is everything you want in a romantic comedy, without the problematic bits. The cast is so loveable, it never feels too sacarine, it was a surprisingly great read.

This was one of the sweetest books I've ever read. I've heard other readers call it a hug in book form and I couldn't agree more. The characters are so loveable, the story is so heartwarming (without being sacarine), the goofy humor is just right, in a way that reminds me of the sweeter Neil Gaiman's or Terry Pratchett's stories. I ended up crying some much needed tears while finishing it, too. I think I will definitely reread this one whenever I need a comfort read.
