This graphic novel made my heart soar!! I love that each woman had a different vibe and distinct personality.  Hair is so communal for us as Black women and to see the care these women put into their own and each other’s was lovely❤️ I appreciated that this felt like REAL LIFE! The conversations these women had via group chat or in person, the slang, the mannerisms- all of it was unapologetically BLACK! I appreciated seeing differences in ethnic heritage as well with Cookie being Afro-Latina (Dominican and Puerto Rican) and Davene being Jamaican!
