Exactly what you’d expect from a romance writer writing a horror/thriller.
Really liked the way that the murderer messed with the victims long before he killed them, but that’s where my list of good things about the book ended. Even that plot had been done before, and done better.
I hated the romance. I expected there to be some of it since Stephanie Perkins is a romance writer, but it’s like the only thing that the main characters ever think about. It felt like a romance book with a small murder mystery thrown in there for added excitement. Maybe fans of romance would like it, but that wasn’t the case for me.
Also, Ollie bites his lip ring as an indication of all emotions apparently.
It was still a fun, short read, and I enjoyed guessing who was the next victim. But it was nothing life-changing or anything that’ll stick with me.

I’ve always loved this story without reading the book, decided to give the audiobook a try and loved it. Just the right mixture of weird and magical.

Blockade Billy: 4 stars (would’ve enjoyed it more probably if I was a baseball fanatic)

Morality: 2.5? The premise was nice, failed to entertain though.
