Thank you to Penguin Random House Audio for my free copy!
I enjoyed this collection of essays about the author’s writing life, but I still prefer What I Talk About When I Talk About Running.

Thank you to Penguin Random House Audio for my free copy! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this story, from the mystery to the relationships to the tea details.

Thank you to Penguin Random House Audio for my free copy! This book felt a lot like Crying in H Mart, which I loved, except that it's not devastating because the parent doesn't die. But it's similarly heartfelt, and make the food reflections fashion.

Thank you to Random House Audio for my free copy! This book is disturbing, violent, and powerful. It feels scarily possible when we follow the logical pathway of privatized prisons.

Great middle grade (as always, from this author) about making friends and handling relational and individual adversity.

Very enjoyable and swash-buckly, if a little long. I'll keep reading if there are more in a series.

Unfortunately another book that could have been an article. I appreciated the concept of fluid vs crystal intelligence, but I HATED that all of the case studies and quotes were from men. Seriously?
Flying, Falling, Catching by Henri J.M. Nouwen, Carolyn Whitney-Brown

It was lovely to get this book as a gift after I tried flying trapeze for my birthday, but it is SO weird. The trapeze parts were great and resonant, but the frame structure was too bizarre, and I kept getting jolted out of the narrative.

Thank you to Simon & Schuster Audio and Libro.fm for my free copy! I enjoyed this book, and it's lovely, but it left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. There's a lot of anger, understandably. I prefer the author's poetry, I think.
