Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
4.0
This novel has one of the best, most intriguing opening lines I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. It is an intricately woven story, told slowly and beautifully — taking time for each character and their emotions. It paints a painful yet stunning portrait of an interracial family before they were commonplace and / or widely accepted. Touching on themes of family dysfunction, the pressure to perform we see in many ethnic communities, and the falling out but also the chance for healing and growth that comes with grief — Ng’s novel is a beautiful, poem of a novel. The big reveal is equal parts stunning and heartbreaking — definitely worth your time.

I loved this book! Very good twist towards the end and amazing climax that lets me safely say this was another promising and enticing novel from what’s quickly becoming my new fave series
