a very cute and sweet short book of romance and laughs. really good palate cleanser. all banter and fluff without angst. epitome of a beach read. gets the job done but not much depth. although, i do appreciate the coming-out story arc.

i loved being a passenger on soraya’s journey of morality, power, and self-acceptance. the world-building was absolutely wonderful, would love (and could totally see) an on-screen adaptation! such a feministic, empowering fantasy read. and the romance was very sweet and very quote-worthy.

i feel like the sci-fi gods hate me or something because this had such a cool premise but the worst character to be the MC. he's selfish and inconsiderate. would've rather read a historical fiction about two queer guys in 1985 trying to figure out their feelings, if the other feels the same way, and dealing with the homophobes of 1985. unhauling for sure.

glad i didn't just watch the show. although boring and sloggy to get through, i really liked tiffy's journey in healing from emotional abuse and her hesitancy in starting something with leon. loved their characters' growth and development even if there was a miscommunication trope

as a debut novel, it wasn't bad, kinda run of the mill, everything kinda average but felt the characters were 2D and the plot and relationships between the characters were underdeveloped. dare i say a bit too ambitious for a first book that nothing truly remarkable happened, every aspect of it wasn't in depth enough, spread too thin, too many shallow holes rather than a few good deep ones. as a sci-fi lover, i'm left disappointed and feeling like there could've been more.. kinda fumbled

such an interesting premise ugh!! no world building, too focused on the love triangle, and a dub-con that imo is literally SA/grape! disappointment is an understatement!

wanted to give time loops a chance but :/ i wish they handled the time loop differently :// ending was rushed and weird and had me asking questions that were never answered :/ at least it was a quick read, within 2 days

oof. this book has a white savior love interest, cringe dialogue, no chemistry, villainization of religion, and an incomplete/unsatisfying ending. but hey, at least the anxiety rep is good.

didn't love it, didn't hate it. appreciated the huntington's disease portrayal and how a gene positive result can affect family and romantic relationships. although i enjoyed the balance of heartwrenching and heartwarming, the okay writing, too-long time skips, and a rushed ending didn't help
