cute little (ha) romance 

short and sweet

It was a sweet story but Josiah’s accent was really hard to listen to and I found Kai pretty unbearable. I was rolling my eyes almost every time he talked. This also had a trope I can’t STAND where

someone tries to run away/ does run away (thankfully not in this case) due to misunderstandings and attacks from outside parties trying to break up the relationship without even speaking to the others in the relationship

Idk it was okay but the way Erik kept forcing Matthew to think about his parents in the middle of sex was weird. Also Matthew needing to be fucked in his parents bed in front of their picture to prove a point to people who aren’t even alive to see it? I just felt like his issues could have been helped with some therapy and not by picturing his parents watching him have sex. 

I got bored. There’s no reason I should be ten days into a 164 page book and only have 63 pages read. 

I was so fucking bored. I tried sticking it out for the promised angst but I just couldn’t do it. Reading it was like pulling teeth.

I was hoping to like it more than I did. It sounded promising but it just didn’t deliver for me. I was really bored and only stuck through hoping there would be more acknowledgement of their shared history (not that there was really history seeing as she was a kid but idk I was hoping for something more) but there wasn’t really a lot. Even his feeling for her when he saw her again as full adults didn’t spark much romance. It was just lust and it never really felt very romantic after that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

it absolutely took me by surprise that Harris just merked Bruce without a second thought lmao and then it’s just kinda treated as casually as if he punched him in the nose or something idk the fact that he just straight up kills the guy sent me

Idk it sounded so promising but it felt kinda all over the place and just not very well connected? I wasn’t really feeling the romantic connections.
