I'm not the biggest fan of fairytale retellings but a tiktok girlie got me and I got the book on KU and devoured it. This book had be from the first page! The retelling aspect is super subtle and I appreciated that. This book was so good and now I think I might actually give the rest of the series a try.

I might just say fuck and change the rating to 5 stars.

When I tell you that I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time I listened to the audio. I finished this book WAY too fast. I'm obsessed with how the author managed to somehow make this dark romance a comedy. Girliepop is a genius and this book is amazing.

I was really hoping this book would be better🥲
It took me three rereads of the first three books to finish the last three and lowkey I'm annoyed I wasted my time and audible credits on this.

The antagonists of this book honestly did not matter because they killed off the ones they had been fighting this entire series, at the beginning of the book.

I stopped actively listening to it after that and could not tell you one important thing that happened the rest of the book. I forgot everything that happened as soon as I finished this book. I love J Bree's writing and her Hannaford Prep series is one of my favorite series EVER but this series was such a letdown. It could've totally been less than 6 six books. The first 2 books were AMAZING and I wish I had left it at that and not continued with the series.
