I really enjoyed this one and the duology as a whole. I read through this book quick and was engaged the entire time. I am sad there won't be anymore books in this world.

The writing was flat and it was confusing until almost halfway through (poor world building). The story has potential but the execution left me feeling meh. I already have book 2 so I will finish the duology. I hope this is one where book 2 is better than book 1.
