Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Did this book never go through an editor's hands??? there's missing periods, extra letters in random places. Judging the story: Elena is such a bitch unlikeable character, I cannot stand her. I understand that the books came before the show but I'm already noticing that the show is better than this, WHERE IS JEREMY 😠I'm gonna keep reading tho because it's got a good pace to it.
YES YES YES. i loved this book from start to finish, loved everything about it, it's pace, the story, EVERYTHING!! Even after watching the movies first and being scared the book would be boring because I already knew what it would be, I could not put the book down.
I read this in two sittings. And I'm sure I could've read it in one if I'd had the time. TJR really makes the best books to keep you hooked on throughout the entire story.
although watching the 2005 movie is way easier, reading this book gives me part of the initial perspective of Mr. Darcy, the way he started falling for Elizabeth, and how oblivious she was most of the time... that's what makes the story even better than I already knew it was.

This might just be the best book I've ever read. I'm still kind of processing the last 70 pages but I will try to sum my feelings up. First of all: The PLOT TWISTS!! I don't think I ever read something that made me stare at the pages in disbelief so many times. Secondly: I LOOOOVE the pace in which this is written, I think it includes everything it has to include, it's not too detailed when it doesn’t need to be, and it's also not the kind of book which glances over everything and suddenly focuses on things that aren't relevant to the story. Finding such a long book with this rapid pace is the best thing ever, I was afraid I was going to get bored, but the book is just so well written that it kept me reading and reading every single day. Third: I'm still kind of disturbed by how much I loved this book, considering one of the main characters is not another thing but a psychopath. And lastly: This is the most beautifully written thriller I've read. It's amazing. Enchanting. Showstopping.
Soo, I just finished this book after many months trying to get out of a reading slump. I will tell you, this is a very, incredibly slow story if you are looking for a romance novel. And I'm not talking about the "Pride & Prejudice" kind of slow burn romance, what I'm saying is that Emma is not a romance novel, at least not a romance novel focused on Emma's love life. I'd say the story is more focused on Emma's matchmaking failures and her slow discovery of her own desires. I don't want to rate it any higher than 4 stars because I found this book incredibly hard to read, I don't know if it took me so long because of my reading slump or because some parts of the story I found genuinly useless for the plot. Also, I disliked Emma for most of the story; I think she’s arrogant. Anyway, if you're looking for romance, I'd recommend you try reading other books. (And if you want to read something from a much more likeable protagonist perspective, just read pride and prejudice). The reason why this is not getting a lower rating is because of the writing. Although I found some parts of the story unnecessary, the beauty in Jane Austen's writing style is simply unbeatable. Also... when tf did Mrs Weston get pregnant????? I don'tknow if I missed it, but I found out about her pregnancy when she was giving birth ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

I can't deal with the void in my being after reading this. I loved every part of the book even though most of the time I was simply cursing Elizabeth's name because of her bad choices. But I loved it. It's a fun, lighthearted book but with just the right amount of tension so there's that craving for the book and for knowing what happens next. One of my faves now, definitely.
