Nolan sounds completely my type. This is pretty light easy read. Not great not horrible. Low-mid spice. I’m interested in Jason’s story so gonna try that next.

Swoon!!!! This. Book. It had my attention from the first chapter with a smile on my face. The absurdity with the sheep. The banter. This book didn’t have a single down moment. It made sense and it flowed. I loved Bram and Susanna. They really were so well matched. Both bold and stubborn. Un afraid to push at each other. This book was EXACTLY what I needed after my binge of MM and MMF over the past week. The fast paced rom com historical with just the right amount of spice was exactly what the doctor ordered. Oh, and a heroine who is an apothecary?? Of course I love her!! Oh, and who can forget the lamb named Dinner???

Tough act to follow. Reading the summary didn’t excite me too much. It was a grumpy sunshine and Thorne may be the grumpiest grump who ever did grump. Kate sure did develop a set of balls that I wasn’t expecting. Like - how could she be so forward and honest with Thorne when he gives her nothing to go by to encourage her attentions. And is she really so worldly to be able to read his eyes, mannerisms and his general “fuck off ness”? And then it devolved in to one of my least favorite things ever - the “I’m not good enough for her so I’m gonna make this decision in her behalf and not believe her and her choices and her agency when she says she wants to marry me”. This trope needs to be banned from books. The only time through the book I felt any interest was when bram had his baby suck on brandy to fall asleep - how very real of you sir. And the lead up to the ball and trying to figure out how the problem would resolve. It was all overly dramatic. As the women in the book acknowledged.

Loved them!!! I loved the concept of the book entirely. Very fresh, I don’t think I’ve read a book with this trope before. I liked the mystery solving piece. The evolution of the attraction and then feelings moved along well. Wasn’t rushed, wasn’t too slow. Bishop truly is a king among men :)

This was the best romcom I’ve read in recent memory! The romance was hot, but the comedy was the true surprise. By chapter 7 I was laugh out loud, crying, can’t catch my breath and trying not to piss myself.
I one clicked this book last night because I’m absolute trash for hockey romance, and all I needed to see was an IG post referencing the hero’s Jacobs

Every now and then I dabble in some dark romance. Violence, morally grey, etc. I saw this particular series recommended a few times. I really liked the time taken to set up the initial meeting of the 2MCs and how their relationship built over time. Though I have to say Sasha can be annoying as fuck and is it wrong I kind of wanted her to die when she would blatantly ignore Kirill in situations where she really was in danger? I get why she’s crushing on him - I can say the reverse. He’s got gorgeous blue eyes, wears glasses has confidence and intellect and darkness for days. I get it girl.

I liked Sasha a bit more in this one. But good lord gullible much? I don’t want to believe that kirill was sooooo calculating against her. Do I believe he made that deal to become the boss? Yes. Did he need to handle it the way he did? No. And it’s one of those things where his actions up until that point made me believe he was being sincere. I still knew he’d go ahead with Kristina. But the way he handled it all was so cruel. And yuri? YURI??? Now I need to hurry up and read the next book. So far the plot and story of this series is so much more than I was expecting. I always get a little worried when something is labeled dark. This is just the right amount.

Great conclusion. Loved how all the mysteries were solved in a believable and satisfying way.

Cute. Both Beck and Jason. Totes adorbs that Beck had a crush on Jason for 2 years. Also, can never go wrong with a book that features the quarterback adopting a tuxedo cat from the shelter.
