Lee Jacquot has done it again! This is a short spicy read with loveable characters and a great storyline. I love this series and am determined to read all the Holinight Novella books at this point.

This book was a fast-paced spicy read. I was impressed with the plot and character development as those aren't usually very present in erotica books. There are a lot of kinks in this book, so if you aren't open minded toward that kind of stuff, this book probably isn't for you. If you're looking for spicy spice this book is definitely for you.

A Black Women's History of the United States by Daina Ramey Berry, Kali Nicole Gross

As a white woman who grew up in rural America, I feel like this book gave me so much more insight into American history than I would have gotten from any class. I learned a ton and the authors did a fantastic job at the pacing of the information. I highly recommend this book to those wanting to learn more about US history, especially from the lens of Black women.

This was a short, sweet, spicy read for the holiday season! The spice is spicyyy and well done. There is definitely more spice than plot in this one.  I will be checking out more books from this author :)

This was my first book by this author and I was not disappointed. The characters were lovable and very relatable. I loved the progression of their relationship! If you are looking for spice, it happens about 3/4 of the way through the book but the tension is there throughout. I really appreciated the dry/sarcastic humor of the characters as well - it's my favorite kind of humor. The relationship dynamics of the families were really well done. I found the animosity some characters had to be pretty realistic too. I enjoyed seeing the main female character decelop through all the hurdles thrown their way, and again I absolutely loved the relationship between the FMC and MMC. I especially loved how there was no 3rd act break up like we often find in these types of books. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet holiday read with substance and some spice.

This is the first book I've read from this author and I was not at all disappointed! I loved the relationship between Damien and Abbie, it was so sweet and exactly what I needed right now. I don't think this should be considered exclusively a holiday read. There were some nods to holidays and some holiday parties, but overall I think it'd be a good read any time of year. I'm excited to read more from Morgan Elizabeth!

This was a good book with a sweet story. I enjoyed the character development from both main characters. At times it felt like the story was dragging on, but then something would happen and the plot would pick up. I didn't find the time jumps confusing it distracting, they made sense and I'm glad the author used them to show the relationship progression over time. The spicy scenes were also pretty well written. I'm excited to read the rest of this series!

This book was hard to get into at first. I genuinely did not love the first 30% or so due to the characters and their relationship. However, after that point the story picked up, the fluff started, and the story held my interest. I even stayed up later than I should have finishing the last 75%. This book was a decent read, but not really one of my favorites. For me, there was too much roughness from the male characters, especially the main male character, for my liking. I did like the development of the main female character, it just took a while. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy the gruffer side of dark romance who do not require a ton of fluff with their smut.

This was such a cute and fun read for spooky season! It has all the things I love, books and cats. I love that the MMC was also a bit nerdy.

The dialogue drove me nuts at times. The author uses elipses in the dialogue quite often. Dashes are also used, the characters seem to stutter a lot - which would be fine if either main character was said to actually have a stutter. Instead, it's more like they're always super timid/shy and are walking on egg shells around each other.

Otherwise, this was a very sweet book and I do recommend for those looking for a fun, quick read about witches and a bookstore. I'm excited to watch this author grow!
