Raw, nostalgic, heartfelt, and heartbreaking. I was completely enamoured and in love with this story and its characters.

I went into this with no prior knowledge of the book or its contents, and was instantly captured by the author's writing style.

Reading this book for the first time (which came out when I was in high school) as an adult, had me deeply reflecting and looking back on my own coming of age years.

I couldn't put this book down, and it also had me ready to fist fight Jim Bob.

I applaud Jill for sharing her incredibly vulnerable story and speaking her truth, not shying away from the topics that I can imagine were incredibly painful to write about.

I really enjoyed the characters and the story as a whole, but it did feel quite long and I had to push myself to continue at around the halfway point, but I'm glad I finished it, and overall I really liked it!
