Bad Blood by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
3.5
This jumped the shark in a big way but I still had fun so it all evens out
Under the Mistletoe collection by Alexandria Bellefleur, Ali Hazelwood, Tessa Bailey, Alexis Daria, Olivia Dade
3.5
Average rating across all 5. Would have been higher without Tessa Bailey’s contribution.
My main takeaways: the MMC in both Ali Hazelwood and Tessa Bailey’s stories were creepy as hell and almost irredeemably so. There are far too many people willing to throw caution to the wind regarding protection with sexual partners they’ve just met. I wish that two of the stories didn’t have FMCs with the same first name. I have also learned that I cannot read romcoms where the MMC has the same first name as my son.

The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter

I definitely wanted a more satisfying ending but this was cute.
I'll Be Gone for Christmas by Georgia K. Boone

I liked this way more than I thought I would!!! The Holiday but make it just a little gay. The banter was so good and I loved all the side characters as if they were my own children.
All I Want is You by Falon Ballard
3.5
This was cute. A little cheesy and predictable but what else do you want from a holiday romance? The FMC voice was a little shallow, I wish we’d gotten to know her better outside her obsession with Christmas and red lingerie. I wanted a more exciting reveal of the Hilary connection!!
Never Lie by Freida McFadden
4.0
Okay I’m not gonna lie I had fun with this once the real twist hit. I spent the first 60% thinking that the obvious twist was the right one but boy was I wrong. Mysteries don’t usually get one but this one got me. However, I’m afraid now that I know Miss Frieda’s game I won’t be able to enjoy her other books nearly as much.

I loved every minute of this. I can’t wait to read more of what this author writes.
