This was great, but it’s just too much of an info dump for me in audio format. Might return later if I get a physical copy.

4.5

This book was amazing. I loved every single thing about it except the virgin trope which, bc of religious trauma and purity culture, I now hate. However if anyone can do a virginity trope it is Kennedy Ryan. Of course the reason behind the the FMC's virginity was because of connections she made to her Native culture. Kennedy did this so respectfully, so that is my reasoning for giving it a 4.5 rounded up to a 5.

I loved the rawness of this relationship while still showing and mentioning the important things like therapy, politics, and realistic goals. I am so happy to read a heathy political/activism romance that the characters are on the same side of issues that I am. This book was a breath of fresh air after getting stuck in a romance rut from all the rom-coms I've been reading lately. I needed grit for a cause.

I really enjoyed this while so watching Love Island. If I had read it any other time, I’m not as sure I would have made it through. It kept me entertained and I enjoyed the sapphic element, but it needed much more development. We didn’t even ever get the back story of Cas’ previous breakup.

This book is one of those life changing books. Everyone that might have grown up with emotionally immature parents should read this asap.

If you have experienced what is fundie Christianity, this book will mean a lot. Even in my 30’s  I wish I had the courage that Valerie had.

Felt very neutral about this book until I talked to my book club, and yeah now I have feelings and they aren’t great.

Basically this book was very bland and lacked any real development. The characters had little to no growth throughout the whole book. What plot? Where?

Now I can’t remember any positives.

This book is very interesting. It is not normally something I would choose, but I heard so much so I thought it was worth a chance. I'm glad I read it because it was beautiful, and I was always thinking about it when I wasn't reading. The writing was amazing! So lyrical and lush.

I loved this. I had been bored all day, and so I picked up a short story to read. It entertained me like nothing else had.
