i don’t know much about the history itself of salem but this book pulled me in from the beginning. it was very interesting to learn about more of salem through this story. i enjoyed the tension between the main characters, especially towards the end. the creatures were very interesting as well and it made me realize i wouldn’t stand a chance in the forest either lol.

WOW. and just when i thought i couldn’t fall more in love with these characters and feel their heartbreaks even more.
i really enjoy that these books offer the pov of multiple characters bc it really does add to the experience. their thoughts, their feelings, all of it during their time in the story.
i’m so happy with the ending and they truly deserve it.
i felt like i was really with them throughout the story bc i would catch myself holding my breath when something really intense would happen or laughing when something so obvious from one of the characters would happen. really really great story.

definitely check the trigger warnings

this book had me hooked. i am obsessed with sibby & im excited to learn more about zade in the duet.
the ending of this had me rethinking everything i had read, wondering why i never realized certain things that may have been written hidden in plain site.
i didn’t even realize this book was a prequel but im honestly glad i read it. it was pretty decently paced, great spice & not too short or too long

the way this book made me feel is indescribable.
the pain, the worry, the anger, the frustration, the laughter, every emotion possible. i felt like i was right there with addie & zade. with them through everything they went through, hurting with them, laughing with them.
both of these characters are so unique in their own way & are so mesmerizing.
i enjoyed the other characters like daya & jay, too. they’re both quirky in their own ways and they both definitely fit with their positions to our beloved main characters.
the end left me absolutely heartbroken & i immediately started the next book.

PLS CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING

as someone who grew up in the tattoo industry & is currently an apprentice, i absolutely love seeing tattoo artists & shops in books lol. you don’t see it quite often so it’s pretty cool.

i think it also can sometimes be hard to find a balance of talking about triggering topics without it becoming insensitive, too much for the storyline or almost for shock value. however, this book does an amazing job with that not being the case. it’s all important to the storyline and it helps bring awareness to not only things happening at the time they happen but the aftermath of how people survive it and continue to heal from those experiences. as well as how to support those go through trauma.
with this having the POV from both logan & grayson, we see both sides of that in action. i’m excited for the next book

i was honestly a bit disappointed in this book.
i loved the first one but this one just seemed repetitive, i lot of the same thing happening but with different bad guys lol.
the spice was good but both parts seemed to have unnecessary scenes & things happening.
i really expected more out of it.
but the characters are fun so it was still interesting enough to read.

i spent the entire book gaslighting myself that it was not going to end in the way it ended. even though the name of the book is very clear as to what happens.
this book HURT. seeing the life rise between the two main characters during the time they spent together was just amazing.
it’s so interesting how people can connect & intertwine into other people’s lives & stories. this book is a great representation of that.

i do wish we got to know what actually happened at the end of the last chapter but based on hints & context clues from previous chapters & characters, it’s pretty easy to imagine how it happened.
great story, beautiful characters

this book is PHENOMENAL. best book i’ve read of the year honestly. the characters, the topics of the story, the internal & external struggles. there’s so much that this book symbolizes and it is so heartbreakingly beautiful.
i loved every single of reading this book. i was kept on my toes, i shocked at the twists & i really enjoyed the different POVs. i have been recommending this book to everyone i know since i started it.

i love basketball so any book that has to do with the sport will automatically grab my attention. i’m also an artist so the same goes for anything art related.
that being said, this book had my attention from the second i started it. i have been GLUED to my kindle since i started it a few days ago. there’s such a great balance of spice, love, conflict & pretty much every other emotion. the story flows so well, the POVs are so great because you get that inside look of what is exactly going on in their head and i mean EXACTLY what is going on in their head. it kept my attention completely throughout the book while still surprising me along the way. absolutely phenomenal. i was so sad when i swiped my kindle to the next page and saw “The End” bc i wasn’t ready to let go of the characters.
