I tried.  I just could not get invested in the story or the characters.   I initially DNFed but then felt guilty so came back to finish.  It’s ok.  Predictable. 

 I think it’s fair to say this was a satisfying conclusion to the series.  She left it open enough, should she wish to revisit the world of Temeraire and add to his adventures, but if she doesn’t - I’m good with this ending.  #2024grannysquarebookcovers
