This just feels like a gross way of viewing life’s tragedies. I picked this book up forever ago but it’s writing is very dude-bro and it’ll mention how great an artist someone is and in the next sentence literally say they would be nothing if they hadn’t been severely abused as a child. Reading this just made me was to have a full story on the person, not just their trauma. Like for Warhol, seeing his art and getting more of his story besides his trauma would have been a good read. This just feels gross and exploitative idk
