It starts incredibly slowly and seems a bit odd compared to Graham Masterton’s other books I was left wondering where it was going and actually found the first part of the book boring.

I realise now this is part of the genius of this book it all seems very benign to start with but there are dark twists ahead and to be frank a lot of blood gore and grizzly death!

This book is full of facts about the human body, what happens when it goes wrong and what is left behind. It’s also filled with personal life experience and human tragedy told with respect and dignity.

This is the 3rd book in the series and I feel like it’s the worst… overly long and complex plot. It feels like there are multiple ‘finish points’ before you get to the end of the book but then it just keeps going.

Duke and Boots are my absolute favourite characters.

Strangely beautiful! The study of anatomy is fascinating but this book goes further. It’s a story of a life dedicated to science.

The chapters cover a wide range of topics under the broader umbrella.

Fascinating.
