Not entirely sure how to feel about this one. I found it a little bit hard to get through since I wasn’t ever caught up in where the book was going. I’m glad that the author wrote about her experience. It’s so important for people to know what these experiences look like from the inside.

This was one of my most anticipated reads as I had heard so many great things about it. Unfortunately, I really did not end up liking it. This book literally made me sick to my stomach with some of the things that happened. Maybe I need to rethink my belief that I have no content triggers. As someone who normally loves family dynamics and conversations surrounding relationships, I struggled with this a lot. When I walk away from the book with this feeling, I always struggle to know whether or not the feeling is based in the fact that I listened to the book on audio rather than physically read it. I’ll never know the answer for sure because when I dislike a book so much, I’m not going to spend my time reading it a second time. I’m very happy that so many people really enjoyed this, bummer I couldn’t be one of them.

If I could give this book a 10/5 I would. I enjoyed every second. The characters, the plot, the twists; all written to perfection. I haven’t felt like this after reading in forever. I’m so grateful my library had this visible on a shelf and that I recognized the cover so I could read it right before the second one came out.

Exactly what I needed to play phone games to when my brainpower was close to zero. Not really my things though. It felt pretty instalovey and I HATE
third act breakups/fights
. This is my first hockey romance ever though, and as a huge hockey fan, I enjoyed the sport being a part of the story. Lastly, I hated the epilogue.. it just made me cringe.

I enjoyed this! The end was definitely much more entertaining than the beginning though. A very interesting concept and well executed overall. I personally enjoyed when she got her memory back because it made for a very interesting read. Specifically how all of the little things over time add up to change who you are and how you feel. Shocked that
her and Nick ended up back together
, but I’m not necessarily mad about it.

Simply couldn’t get into it. I think the writing style leaned a bit too old for my taste.

Had a good time. Nothing too shocking, but an interesting concept nonetheless!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
I really didn’t give this much of a chance, but it’s not the book’s fault. I have no idea why I picked this up at the used book story because I want to die every time I read poetry. I guess I’m always just hopeful that I will find poetry that speaks to me, but I think I should just give up at this point.

Fantastic! Exactly what I wanted/needed from a historical romance. The female friendship is amazing and the romance was enjoyable!
