Super cute. A little cheesy at times. The Valentine ghost was hella creepy. Good book.

I did not read the synopsis -- at some point I had and likely thought the book sounded interesting, so I placed a hold for the book through my library, and by the time the hold came in I'd completely forgotten everything about the book -- so I went in not knowing what the book was about, but I felt like there was no hook in the 15% I read other than the fact that I wanted to find out what the book was about by just reading the book without looking at the synopsis.

The writing and plot are awkward but not in an interesting or entertaining way, and it's also all over the place. I had a hard time understanding some of scenes because there didn't seem to be a point to a lot of the dialogue. Then we'd get bits of "hot for each other" and it seemed so misplaced that it was almost cringey. Anyway, I finally decided to read the synopsis after chapter 6, and based on that and what I've read so far, I'm not interested in continuing the book.

Not a fan of the controlling, sour-puss mom. Like, chill the f out lady, you're stressing me out.

I just didn't find the book engaging. I put it down for a few weeks (months? I can't remember) but it still didn't interest me when I picked it back up. It sounds interesting but it's just not for me.

I've learned over the past few months that the years-long pining trope is not my thing, and this book is victim of my dislike for that trope. It's a good book so far, but I can't stand the 12-year pining. TWELVE! ✋️

This is my third read (2nd read of the new edition) and I can't get into it like the first time I read it. I think I like the updates but the book is just too long. By 90% I was beyond ready for it to be over.

I found the book entertaining, though a bit dark and gruesome. I had a hard time keeping track of all the names, though that might be because I'm not great at listening to audiobooks. I did like that Anna was a major data nerd and all the descriptions of how she'd collate the data, even if I didn't understand most of it. Good book for anyone looking for a morally gray FMC.

Cute book. It felt like it was dragging at the end, but otherwise I enjoyed the book and thought it was an easy read/listen.

It's nowhere as engaging as THG trilogy. It felt like it dragged on in the latter half of the book--like it should've been over but there was still quite a bit of the book left. Even though I already knew the ending, I didn't remember any of the details, and I think that didn't help my feeling that it was dragging on. I still don't think it gives us a good take on Snow's character from THG trilogy, but it does a good job of showing us how he started evolving into who he became.
