This was the perfectly plotless, pointless book that was purely romance and relationship based and exactly what I was in the mood for. It jumped right into the relationship, I never doubted the HEA, and there were stakes but the stakes never felt like they would win. More of this kind of book, please.

The magical realism in this book was just *chef's kiss*. The clever play on language of conduction/conductors on the underground railroad! The magic of storytelling and preserving memory! The symbolism of water! I was in awe.
