The only book botched by my Goodreads to StoryGraph migration. Fixed it but book is considered a new addition to my library even though I read this wayback 2012. C'est la vie.

I enjoyed the mystery, horror, and myth, but it was a bit confusing in some parts since that's exactly what the antagonist was doing to the main protagonist and it's her POV we're following. Overall, it was a good to okay read for me.

I couldn't put this book down!! True crime has always fascinated me but I'm not sure why I haven't been reading more novels in that genre... so we'll do something about that. Lol.

This is my first Heather Gudenkauf novel and considering how well-written it is, it would certaintly not be the last. I hope to find more riveting stories like The Overnight Guest.

What a book to start the year! My expectations weren't that high for this one but it blew me away—such an amazing read! It has been some time since I gave a 5 star review but A Curse So Dark and Lonely deserves it. It didn't feel like I was reading a 500-page book at all, everything was so easy to absorb and get lost in. And this is first of a trilogy? Aaahh, I'm so excited for the rest of the series!

My go-to series when I need an enjoyable quick read. I honestly don't remember much from the movie and I might need to rewatch it one of these days, just so I can compare how accurate it is from the books.

I'm giving this a low rating mostly because it failed to hold my attention and it took me AGES to actually finish it. Very uncharacteristic of me but I've been on a reading slump ever since the pandemic hit. I could have just DNFed this, true, but I was still very curious as to how the story ends, so I skipped a lot of paragraphs and just focused on dialogues. Meep. It really could have been written better.

Light read so points for that, characters aren't really that likeable but they aren't annoying, and story's good although cheesy in some parts. A relatively nice book but I've read better (and worse) from Colleen Hoover.

Well, that ending was anti-climactic. Not that it had much going on to begin with buuuut... cringe.

Almost didn't finish this one when I stopped reading it last year, but decided to just pick up where I left off and find out who's murdering all these people. But like I said earlier, it's meh.

Not sure if I'll continue with this series because I'm personally finding Audrey Rose too much and I don't think I can read more of her perspective. Shame, I like the crime and mystery. C'est la vie.

This has been in my to-read pile for years and I accidentally stumbled upon it a couple weeks ago. I finally picked it up and I might not have engulfed it in one sitting but it's an AMAZING book, nonetheless. This is exactly the kind of book that makes me LOVE children's literature; something I could proudly place beside Harry Potter and Percy Jackson—yes, it's that good!! I would recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat.

The story's premise was actually very good and I liked Schwab's writing style but it got somewhat tedious to read about halfway into the book and only started to pick up again at the end. It's still a beautiful story that, as soon as I finished reading, made me want to hug my loved ones and live my life to the fullest.
