This was so good! There is definitely a reason as to why I love series, and this is one. It did not disappoint compared to Throne of Glass, and it was so much more chaotic and interesting. The ending blew me away, and I was shocked to find out that Celaena was fae! Being the lost heir to Terrasen was a twist I didn't expect, and I am so happy that she developed her relationship with Chaol. Archer Finn, whilst he was annoying, added more to the plot and made it more exciting. It was incredibly tragic and sad when Nehemia died, but the book was amazing overall.

I have never had mixed feelings so strong about a book. On one hand, I enjoyed the satire about the 80's and stereotypes, but it felt a little stale by the end. Over the courseof the novel, Patrick Bateman killed 17 humans/animals, which was just downright disgusting! The representation of everyone but straight, white, rich men was genuinely foul, and there were definitely parts of the book that disgusted me. The narcassism, elitism, classism, racism, sexism and homophobia within the book was not my cup of tea, and I don't think that there wasn't a character who was horrible. I will say, it was kind of funny to watch him lose his mind over the book, but I don't think that I could enjoy this properly. The random outfit descriptions throughout the novel made it easier to imagine what was happening, but also felt semi-unnecessary. I don't think I would recommend this to anyone, but now I know that if anyone says this is their favourite book they are either, a) lying, or b) a walking red flag.

I really liked this! Olivia and the Prior family were really interesting to follow along with, and I enjoyed this somewhat short read. The concept for this book was really cool, and I liked that it reminded me of Coraline. The artwork interwoven throughout the book was so cool, and I really liked the letters between Olivia's parents. Also, I appreciated that Olivia was not a stupid as most people in horror books/films. Very good!

I was surprised at how much I liked this book, as I had heard that it was mediocre. I liked that this fantasy world felt easy to dive into, as that's not often easy to do. Celaena was a pretty strong female character, but I was kind of mad that she chose Dorian over Chaol. The premise that she was competing to be the King's Champion/Assassin and the plot reminded me a lot of the Hunger Games. Overall, this was actually really good and I am excited to read Crown of Midnight.

This was so good! I had been waiting for months to read this, and it absolutely did not disappoint! It felt like I never left from the Last Graduate, and there were some amazing twists and turns to the story. Galadriel and Orion at the end; I was so happy for them and at the end when they escaped the wrath of the Scholomance. I was shocked at the end, where it was revealed that Orion was a maw-mouth, and I am so sad that the this series finished.

I know a lot of people hate this book, but I actually liked it. I believe that it was an intentional choice by Moshfegh to make the MC a narcissist and classist. Because I didn’t like her, I think I could watch her destroy herself with drugs without feeling bad. The ending, although abrupt, was really good to highlight just how flawed the main character was, and how she was very weak. One of the only character based books I’ve read, but it was really good!

Once again, I feel like this came right out of my childhood. Klaus is definitely still my favourite character, and I liked that Monty wasn’t a delusional caregiver. Aside from this being genuinely enjoyable, it was quite short. I always liked this one more than the others from the series, and I think that the siblings have a great dynamic with Montgomery Montgomery (cool name by the way). Overall, this was a good, short read.

I thought that this was pretty good, but I wouldn’t say that it was my favourite. I liked that it was a spin-off of Bridget Jones’s Diary (a spin-off of Pride and Prejudice), and I thought that it made it more interesting. I’m really happy that Liz chose Wes in the end, but I was also rooting for Michael. As far as rom-cons go, this was really good and I found it to be quite enjoyable. I don’t think I’ll read anymore from Lynn Painter, but this was still good.

Not bad, but it could have been better. I liked the pacing and writing style I’d this book, but I felt that the plot was confusing, and the ending was rushed. Elsie was a little annoying in June/July, but I could understand where her feelings were coming from. Elsie and Ben’s relationship also felt realistically felt like it had too many problems, but it was good for the duration that they were together through the book. However, I thought it was still good.

I liked this a lot! Jimmy, Rowan and Lister had this amazing yet very real relationship to form the Ark, and they were all pretty funny. Angel and Julie weren’t my favourite main characters, but their dynamic fit the role of crazy fans. I did not expect the ending and it was very sad, but the plot of the book was confusing at times and I didn’t always understand what was happening. Really good, and I would definitely recommend.
