These books are always hard to give a rating to. This is someone's life after all.
It's well written and if you want to know about the circumstance, I suppose I recommend it, but if you're only going to read one book on this subject, I prefered Tressa by Tressa Middleton. That might have just been because I read it first and a lot of the events portrayed here are the same.
Perhaps reading both is a good way to see the similarities in people's stories of these kinds of abuses.

Short story collections are always going to be hit and miss, but this was probably the most consistently good collection of stories I’ve ever read.
There were one or two I didn’t get so much from, but that’s all.

Definitely recommend.

A fitting end to the trilogy.

I didn’t like To Play the King, but loved House of Cards enough to return for the final book in the series and I’m glad I did.

An excellent collection. Some great characters.
The way the world lives on from story to story is great. I really love that each story follows someone new, but with links back to other stories, or someone we’ve seen before but in a new way.

I’ll definitely be continuing the series and probably moving on to RECKLESS by Brubaker and Phillips once I’ve run out of CRIMINAL.

Very interesting and I loved the detail.

It makes clear at the outset that the case is ongoing and that there will be no resolution. I didn't mind that, but it did leave the end feeling a little small. Still, I enjoyed the peek into how Bleksley is conducting his investigation.

I always love the details that Shaun Attwood portrays in his writing.
So to the point and facts first.

When coming across Zoe Gilbert, I skipped this one and jumped straight to Mischief Acts expecting to enjoy that one more because I’ve an interest in Herne the Hunter.
As much as I loved Mischief Acts, this book was special.

I can’t wait to see what Zoe Gilbert writes next. She’s got a reader for life.

To be honest, the only criticism I can think of is that I wish it was ten times longer.
Wonderfully detailed into each topic. I really hope they write more.

Cormac McCarthy is a real hit or miss author for me. This title is by far a hit.
There's something about the way he writes people that just feels real. Like these people are really out there somewhere, and that quality makes his villains all the scarier for it.

This is a brilliant book that doesn't outstay its welcome. I personally preferred Blood Meridian, but this is up there with my favourites from McCarthy.
