It feels like there’s a lot of set up in this volume. But that’s not to say it’s not enjoyable.
Some interesting things to come. I see my favourite villain is on his way back. Some new ones get some depth to them, and Guts seems to go through a bit of a mentality change.

I fell off the series a little at the end of the last arc, but this volume has really brought me back into it.

A horrific story clearly and concisely told.
Every time Tressa seemed to be out of the woods, I was forced to read on and watch her fall all the way back in.
Not an easy read. Incredibly sad.

Simple and fascinating. If you've ever complained about an ambiguous ending, read this. This is an open-ended conclusion done right.
This shows that an ambiguous ending shouldn't be a story unfinished. This is a story about a question, a question about human nature. What better way to pose a question, than to leave it unanswered?

A fitting end to the series. The twists and turns as expectedly unexpected as ever.

One of the better writing books I’ve read.
The chapters were varied and interesting. A good amount of depth to the topics.
You don’t have to have read any of Kurt Vonnegut to appreciate this.

Particularly enjoyed some of the chapters — especially the latter half — but they were hit or miss and can be quite slow.
