Thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy for review!

Amy Whey has a past that she's worked at forgetting her entire adult life. And she's been incredibly successful at it. Until Angelica Roux moves in down the street. And so begins a game of cat and mouse; each one tries to outsmart the other in order to get what they want, what they NEED. Who will win?

There are so many parts of this book that I loved. There were some incredible personalities, a fun scuba diving tie in, and a good plot. However, it didn't pull me in as much as thrillers usually do. I found myself able to go days without picking up the book, which is totally not normal for this genre. So 3.5 stars from me.

3.5 STARS!

As someone who loves to travel (and writes a blog), I found so many moments in this book hilariously relatable. I also think the ups and downs as growing up were portrayed wonderfully - relationships with friends, hard relationships with family, wanting to be something more, etc. The main character, Alice, is the type of character that you hate but also see a lot of yourself in, which makes for quite an interesting adventure throughout the book!

Overall, though, the book didn't do that much for me. It was an enjoyable travel-themed summer read, but it's not one I'll remember forever!

I received a free copy of this book for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

3.5 STARS! This was a fun, cozy mystery that had even me feeling like an amateur sleuth. I was second guessing everyone throughout the entire novel, which is the mark of a great mystery. It was a bit dull at times and I found the 'big reveal' to be rather anti-climatic. However, it was definitely an enjoyable read, and one I'd recommend for a nice getaway to the countryside.
