Want quite as profound or helpful as I was hoping for. Emily Beam moves to the same boarding school Emily Dickinson attended as she deals with the aftermath of her boyfriend's death and her abortion. One of the ways she copes is by writing poetry. I remember my poetry writing days in high school well, as I was dealing with depression, a distance relationship, and a car accident the summer between my jr and sr years. But for some reason, Emily's story just didn't resonate as much. One reviewer here suggests that the third person is distancing, which may be true.
