The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
4.0
3.8 ☆
After seeing this book recommended everywhere, I finally decided to read it...and it didn't disappoint!
There were some things I didn't like (/side eye to Jude's character constantly complaining about her humanity/mortality every paragraph, the rather slow start that just went uphill around the middle, when she met the spy team to join the Court of Shadows, and what I felt it was a slightly rushed ending). Yes, it's not perfect, but besides those things, everything else was definitely AMAZING.
I enjoyed every second of my reading about the fae characters ("the Folk" as called in-book), the courts, the connections between both worlds, the story and history of the kingdoms and the worldbuilding: everything of this, I tell you, was awesome, fantastical, and cute! (...And there's still *so. many. things* I need to know about, hopefully they'll be explained in the next texts of the series).
Now reading the next one asap, as Holly Black left me with a lot of intrigue with what will happen.
