Hmm, this is hard to rate for a few reasons

1, there’s not really any character development for either of them. The FMC is very childish and the MMC Lets face it, he’s just an ass. There’s no ‘bad boy vibes’ it just straight ick.

2, the MMC has on page sex with other females. Personally don’t like that in the books I read

3, some of the car info is incorrect

4, this whole book I spent scowling at the MMC because WTF man!

In general, it’s an okay read if you’re into the car theme of things but honestly don’t expect much growth between the characters.

I feel so bad writing this because the author asked for more reviews. I personally feel this would do really well with a re write, but sometimes that’s just not what the author sees.

If I can pick up a book and a month later still be skimming through it, it’s not a winner for me.

This was cute don’t get me wrong but it’s not memorable in a way where I have to read it all right away.

I’m fine sitting it down and forgetting about it.

I just think I didn’t vibe as well as I thought I was going to

What a thanksgiving read

I strongly recommend reading book 1 first as these come off as more of an interconnected series especially character wise.

It’s Ruby and Reeds turn in this fast paced insta love he falls first cowboy read.

Going into this book know it’s a ‘surprise’ baby trope

Second chance romance with a man who broke her heart once, this is a fast paced insta love where it skips time from the ✨deed✨ to 9 weeks pregnant in a blink.

It’s a cute small town read, I personally hated the MMC for just leaving and trying to justify things and how easily she accepted him back.

When I say I binged this book like I’d lose the kindle file, I wouldn’t be lying.(read within 9 hours) Breanna Riley played to my heart with this sweet read.

I read Preservation as a stand alone, not having read the first book in the series. From the start I was transfixed within the story. It follows a young woman coming out of the sex trafficking world. She meets a protective older man, developing a love interest. The story follows Isla becoming independent for the first time in her 24 years, her love interest and her past coming back to haunt her. At the same time the story follows Derrick, a 42 year old ex navy member who owns a bar. Isla shows up to an interview at his establishment.
Riley does list trigger warnings such as sexual assault, miscarriage, kidnapping, prostitution, PTSD, etc. so make sure to check them out before reading.
Not having read the first book I wish Breanna would have elaborated with Isla’s backstory a bit more which is why I gave it a 4.5 rating.
With that being said this is an amazing quick read that will leave you wanting more.
Slow burn, light spice, romance, mature, age gap.

I wish I could re read this with fresh eyes.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
