Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer

Did not finish book. Stopped at 23%.
This might just be a DNF for now, I hope to come back to it but I’m just not feeling it at all. I loved how campy the first book was but I just can’t get into the second book and I know if I try to push through I’ll put myself in a slump.

This series is so fun and engaging, it’s only taking me a day to get through each book. This would be such a cute TV series, someone please make this happen! Still holding out for Julian because we don’t date cops. Sorry, not sorry Nick, ACAB!

This was so fun. I thought I had the killer figured out only to be pleasantly surprised in the end. I can’t wait to devour the rest of this series!

This was so sweet and I love all things NASA so this was a double win! The way Vincent just immediately dotes on Mimi and is so acutely attuned to her needs just turned me into mush. My only complaint was that I wish we got a little more push and pull between them, it almost felt a tinsy bit insta-lovey but overall, still really enjoyed the book!

This was very meh. There were a lot of similarities to Cate C. Wells’ first book in her Rejected Mate series but not as well executed. It’s a pass for me.

This was such a cute romp. It’s a perfect balance of period romance charm and magical whimsy. It was a smidge repetitive for me but still absolutely adored it and will definitely continue the series.
