I wanted to like this so much, it was exactly what I was in the mood for and I normally love Kate’s books but it did absolutely nothing for me. Didn’t connect with or care about the couple at all, the spice was so mid and there were so many typos. Just a bummer.

I have such mixed feelings about this book. I finished it in 24 hours and it was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster but there was also so much I didn’t like, starting with the FMC.

Maddie was so childish and cringy I almost DNFed a few times. I wish this was a dual POV just so we could get a break from her head. All of this because they hooked up ONCE when she was 19. I understand that trauma and grief changes you but it also doesn’t give you a pass to be so damn mean! Most of the time, I couldn’t even figure out why Dom liked her.
I was so relieved she finally went to therapy but baby, you should’ve been in it from the jump!

The pacing was also weird. I think it would’ve made more sense if the trips all happened on like one long road trip instead of broken up over years. So much of their relationship building happens off page that I feel like we barely know Dom.

Weirdly, I think the only thing I really liked was the grief. That was the only thing that felt real.

I have been savoring this series over the last few years because I didn’t want it to end. The representation, the banter and the spice are always chef’s kiss and this book did not disappoint!

I loved Eve and related to her so much. I just adored watching her melt Jacob’s defenses. I loved how quickly Jacob saw the real Eve and was just constantly giving her what she needed to succeed (even when he was being a grumpy tit).

Just a perfect series all around and I’m so sad it’s over.

I adored this. The romance was so sweet while the plot was interesting and well paced. Cannot wait to continue the series!

This was so cute. It hit some of my favorite historical romance tropes (one horse, forced proximity) while still making room for some very touching and vulnerable moments. My only complaint was the pacing. I love the friendship between the three Earls but we spend so much time with them that some of their conversations felt repetitive. I just wanted a little more balance between the friendships and the romance. Still an enjoyable read and I will definitely check out the next one!

This was a decent, quick read but it wasn’t much more than just something to pad the reading goal. I enjoyed the political aspect more than I thought I would- coming off a hellish election and staring down the dumpster fire that will be the next 4 years, I wasn’t sure if I was ready to read about politics but it was refreshing. My main complaint is that for how short the book is, the characters are barely together. I wanted to see more of their relationship develop.
