Did not finish book. Stopped at 2%.
I absolutely cannot stand the narration of this book. I flipped through to several later chapters (including some near the very end of the book) to see if it’d improve, but the main character seems to remain insufferable (derogatory) throughout.

This book is trying way too hard to be funny not just in every sentence, but also by adding a load of unnecessary babbling that adds nothing to the story at every ill conceived opportunity. Pity, since it’s been waiting on my shelf for four years.

I wasn't super into this for the first half, and at some point considered dropping it. I'd seen a lot of praise but I'm familiar with litrpg and thought the praise must have been from people less aware of the genre. As the story progressed into its second half, however, the plot thickened and I got really sucked into some of the mystery elements of what exactly is going on and why. Definitely going to listen to the second book!

Tidying up my currently reading -- I need to just reread this from the start sometime cause it's been too long.

I didn’t super vibe with the first book and I enjoyed this one even less, for entirely different reasons. I don't like the direction the overall plot is taking, and the overarching villain(s) are so uninteresting to me. I can see why people liked this book better than the first one, but without going into spoilers, those are exactly the things I hated about it and its ending.

I wanted to power through this series since I’m really into the Cosmere, but at this point it’s just retroactively making me like the previous Mistborn books less so I’m dropping it for now.

I just did not really vibe with this in the long run. I liked the first couple of chapters, but I dislike Westerns as a genre and as the plot progressed I found myself less and less interested in it.
