I never wanted this book to end. King created a world and characters I absolutely fell in love with. I loved this book start to finish and will definitely re read it many times in the future. Charlie, Radar, Mr. Bowditch and all of Empis will stick with me for a long time.

Love how Backman encourages introspection. Tackles what it means to be human, really enjoyed this even with a sport at the heart of the story. I loved how it felt like there were no main characters because everyone was a main character in a way.

At first I wasn’t sure about her writing style, but then realized it’s done purposefully to carry the reader along with her thoughts. A hard read, but very compelling and necessary I think. Her level of honesty and vulnerability in her writing is impressive and admirable. Looking forward to her next work.

Really slow start but once I got into it I was very attached to the characters. I would like to hope the real Richard III lies somewhere in between the history we know and Penman’s creation of him. Excellent book.

Absolutely beautiful novel. Characters will stick with me long after. Hoping more of her works are translated into English.

Hard to rate a collection of short stories. Some stories were 5 stars for me and others were 2. Overall an enjoyable collection
