Are you kidding me?!?!

That ending was THE WORST. I hate Mae! She was a horrible, self-righteous egomaniac. I was really hoping for this to go a different direction and I’m mad with the way it ended. Low rating for how annoying Mae was and also for how horrible the ending was.

Also, I have never wanted as much privacy in my life as I do now after reading this book. My social media posts will be dropping significantly (not that it will be hard to do, I rarely post as it is). I may even delete some of my accounts.
We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

I really liked this book and agreed with most of the things said. The only thing I don't agree with is the part about women being taught to aspire to be married being seen as a negative thing. It is possible to be married and still be an active feminist. I chose a husband who supports my dreams and pushes me to continue my education and go after what I want in my career. He, too, was taught to aspire to be married and we plan to teach both our sons and daughters the same things. Aside from that one part, I really enjoyed this book and I agree we should all be feminists.

Props to Kasie West for making me go from hating a character to loving them all in one book. Definitely an emotional roller coaster but a good story. I wasn't too happy with the ending though, I felt like everything hadn't been resolved enough yet.

This book was very realistic and unpredictable. I wanted more from some of the characters but maybe they get deeper in the next book. Overall a great story and I'm getting the second book now.
