If you can get past that, this is a decent story with a “realistic” timeline that isn’t 100% focused on instalove from both main characters. I really liked Rock as a main character and LOVED that he was voiced by Troy Duran (probably my favorite male narrator for this genre).
Biggest con was I felt like the story was just getting good when it suddenly ended. The ending was soooo abrupt and I was truly expecting another few chapters

REVIEW
Acceptable plot, hot burn to spice, plenty of angst and a HEA.
AUDIBLE
Troy Duran, the male narrator is to die for with that deep voice. Kelsey Navarro does wonders for the FMC. I’d definitely look for additional stories with one or both of these narrators.

PROs:
The male narrator’s voice, Troy Duran, was AH-MAZING. I could literally listen to that man read some dry, awful, disgusting book about baby poo and I’d still be fanning my face at how sexy his deep gravely voice sounds.
Plot was interesting. Pacing was good. I enjoyed the author’s writing style.
I only had two semi pet peeves with this book
1) The female narrator’s voice, Kelsey Navarro, was super irritating in the beginning. She tried to lace her voice with so much rebellious disdain that it really was over the top and annoying. However the more I listened the more I realized that was a good choice for this novel because it for the FMC.
2) This is much darker that I usually read so go into this with open eyes and make sure you check the trigger warnings. You must be okay with extreme and graphic violence in order to make it through this book.
Overall I highly recommend this book. It’s one of the best over read in a few months.
