This was such a nice, light-hearted read. I really love traveling so I enjoyed that this book is centered around that. Normally I'm not a fan of the friends-to-lovers trope, but I did really like this one! My only complaint was that it wasn't steamy enough for me (I know, you're shocked!). Other than that, I really loved Poppy and Alex's dynamic and I love that it was a slow burn. I also liked the dual timeline!

I loved this one just as much as The Deal, and I hate how Elle Kennedy has made me fall in love with hockey boys šŸ˜ Maybe itā€™s just me but the hockey boys I went to school with? Not like the Briar U boysā€¦ thatā€™s for damn sure. Logan & Grace are perfect and Iā€™m OBSESSED with this series! I canā€™t wait to read the next one!!!šŸ„°šŸ”„

(also I have to giggle at the fact that I read the majority of this book on an airplane seated next to a man studying his Bible. if he caught a glimpse of what I was reading?? manā€™s probably prayed for me & my sins šŸ™šŸ»)

ā†’ Things I Liked: chapter lengths, lovable characters, perfect amount of steam, fast-paced

ā†’ Things I Disliked: no complaints yet again!!

Am I crazy or did I find my new favorite romance series? Don't get me wrong, I still love the Bromance Boys and the Brown sisters... but this book was so fun and honestly just what I needed.

The steam level???? CHEF'S KISS šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼šŸ’‹ Hannah and Garrett's chemistry is literally out of this world and I found myself envious and giddy throughout the entire book. This romance pulled me out of a *deep* reading slump and I would give it 10 stars if I could. I cannot wait to start The Mistake, which I will shamelessly be starting tonight šŸ˜Œ

The Story of More: How We Got to Climate Change and Where to Go from Here by Hope Jahren

Did not finish book. Stopped at 28%.
I really could not get into the authorā€™s voice for narration. Also, I understand the need of context regarding animals and the farm industry, but some of it was very graphically described and I had to skip over some parts because of it. Definitely not for a major animal-lover.

Lyssa Kay Adams has done it again!! This series is hands down my favorite romance series and I keep wanting more! Iā€™ve been wanting to read Vladā€™s story since we first learned about him and it did not disappoint. Elena and Vlad are so perfect together and Iā€™m glad they had their happy ending. Removed 1/2 star because it was *too* slow of a burn for me, and the ending threw me off?? The plot during the last 30 pages felt rushed and unnecessary. BUTā€” itā€™s still amazing and I love the Bromance guys!! Canā€™t wait for Coltonā€™s story next šŸ˜

I Am Malala by Christina Lamb, Malala Yousafzai

Wowā€¦ what a phenomenal story. I listened to this on audio and enjoyed every minute. Malalaā€™s story is unbelievable and itā€™s hard to believe sheā€™s only one year older than me. I also loved that it wasnā€™t just about her and the shooting, but she included stories about her mother and father, and even some historical/geographical information about Pakistan that I didnā€™t know. This was such an informative book and I highly recommend (especially on audio!)

Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall

Iā€™ve been listening to this on audio on my way to school and back for the last week. What an incredible book. SO informative and reflectiveā€” the amount of times I paused to think and absorb the information was astronomical. Itā€™s important to note that this book isnā€™t just about feminism in the Black community. Itā€™s about feminism (or lack thereof) within all marginalized communities (trans, unhoused, Latinx, underfunded, disabled, and more). This is a must read for everyoneā€” especially those who call themselves allies but have yet to do any work!
