Definitely a phenomenal installment to what is already an incredibly well developed series, without getting into spoilers the plot and storytelling here is really great, especially given some of my own frustrations with SJM in the past in that regard. In addition to a well built story it’s clear that SJM actually took the feedback of her readers and is trying to incorporate it into her work, this was a refreshing read from her that reestablished her own voice within the space.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.
I found myself bored overall with the parts of Addie’s history that the author was choosing to share. She kept alluding to these amazing adventures in other times or other places but halfway through and I still had yet to see much beyond Addie hating her deal. Which is fair, but contrasts to the reality that she gets along like that for three hundred year? It was a hard pill to swallow. I thought I’d pick it back up again but I just haven’t, at least it will look nice on my shelf.
