I had high hopes going into this read. I love a marriage of convenience and when there is some sass between the two love interests. However, I feel like in this case there was just a lot of unnecessary miscommunication and situations that I didn’t necessarily enjoy. I liked War (and his glitter) but I feel like something was missing with Ava’s character.

This was my first book by the author. I read War as a standalone, but I was a little overwhelmed by all of the characters that were in previous books. I recommend maybe reading those first to understand the established relationships.

I was given an arc of War. All thoughts and opinions on this book are my own.

This read was a fun and wild ride. Were there times I was like “what is happening?” Sure. But it was a read that I couldn’t put down.

Flo and Rome are childhood friends. When a business dinner goes wrong, Flo volunteers to be Rome’s fake girlfriend. Little does she know that Rome has been in love with her since he was 15 and plans to make sure she becomes his for real.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
