Slow burn, enemies to lovers, paranormal. The cover gives it away, but she’s a vampyre and he’s a werewolf. There are conflicts between species and they get married *awww* to create an alliance.
My favorite things about Ali Hazelwood: characters with depth, growth, and sincere relationships; and vocabulary that makes me use the dictionary.
I love this book so much that I splurged on a signed exclusive edition for my collection.

warning: hate language, discrimination toward disabilities - in the context of behaviors that are unacceptable
Excellent middle reader! Five main characters, all with their own very strong personality. Relationship dynamics of all types are explored, with growth and depth at the individual, pair, and group levels. Definitely recommend for 11-13 year old readers!

Plot was too slow. A good YA, but not for me.

-advance uncorrected proof-
DNF’d at 54%.
There were too many characters to keep track of, and the plot didn’t feel fast enough for me. Too many smaller details maybe. I wanted to read this, and do still want to know how it all ends, but I was forcing myself to pick it up and that’s no fun.
